In Honor of Law Enforcement Appreciation Month
Las Vegas, January 09, 2023 – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation hosted its ‘100 Club’ Annual VIP Donor Appreciation Reception Monday evening at Resorts World Las Vegas. The event offered guests a special presentation and viewing of the Las Vegas Strip as hotel marquees went “True Blue” for Law Enforcement Appreciation Month.
100 Club Founding Member Antonio Accornero was there to continue his support of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, with special congratulations to newly-elected Sheriff Kevin McMahill. “It’s a new year, and I am looking forward to collaborating much more with the LVMPD,” said Accornero. “2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the LVMPD, and Sheriff McMahill has great ideas for improving the Department and making Las Vegas an even safer place to visit and live.”
The “Go True Blue” campaign was created by the LVMPD Foundation to recognize and support LVMPD officers who, day-in and day-out, work hard to keep our community safe. The campaign is a way for community members to show their support for LVMPD and the strong partnership that exists and continues to grow between LVMPD officers, businesses, and residents of Las Vegas and Clark County. The annual kickoff begins in conjunction with National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.
“While LEAD is officially just one calendar day, we promote the Go True Blue campaign throughout the entire year to show gratitude to our officers for all they do,” says Tom Kovach, Executive Director of the LVMPD Foundation. “Thanks to the generous support from many organizations and individuals, the Foundation works to advance community engagement initiatives that the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department does for our community.”
Antonio Accornero’s generous contributions to the LVMPD over the years have helped to fund many initiatives, such as community engagement and public safety programs. As a staunch proponent of making the city of Las Vegas safer for everyone, Mr. Accornero is committed to continuing his support of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
