Las Vegas, February 01, 2023 – Judge Amy Wilson celebrated her election victory Wednesday night with a party at Siena Italian Authentic Trattoria and Deli. Wilson ran for election for Department 7 of the Las Vegas Township Justice Court in Nevada. She won in the general election on November 8, 2022 and assumed office on January 2, 2023.
Antonio Accornero, owner of Siena Italian Restaurant, has been an avid supporter of Amy Wilson and was happy to host her victory party at his restaurant. “I’ve had the privilege to get to know Judge Wilson, and I know she is the most capable person for the job,” said Accornero. “She has experience and integrity.”
Wilson graduated from the Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 1998. In 2000, she had a private criminal defense practice in Redwood City, California. She also worked as a prosecutor in Arizona and California before moving to Nevada. She was admitted to the state bar in 2014, and has presided over criminal and civil trials in Las Vegas Justice Court since December 2020, when she was appointed as judge pro tem.
With the diverse experiences Judge Wilson’s legal career has provided, she is well prepared to serve the people of Las Vegas as Judge in Las Vegas Justice Court, Department 7. Dedicated to preserving the principles of justice and the rule of law, she has great respect for the judicial office and understands it is a public trust. To Wilson, those who are elected to the judiciary are responsible to uphold the dignity of the office and maintain public confidence in the legal system.
